It’s been quite an interesting week food wise around here. I’ve been on a detox cleanse since last week due to too much wine and butter on our Pismo vacation. I enjoyed every minute but when I got home I knew that I needed to get back on track. My cleanse was very basic; it included no white carbs, no red meat, no sweets, no wine and no coffee. I ate egg whites, fruits, veggies and drank so much water the amount of trips I made to the bathroom was ridiculous. The coffee aspect was the toughest and I had a massive headache the first day but I feel great right now! I’m gently easing back into a healthy diet but I think I’m done with white bread, potatoes and rice. I don’t really miss these things! Here are a few snapshots of what I ate.
