If you climbed up into my attic, you’d see a TON of little furniture pieces that I’ve saved because I knew I would need them at some point. I’ve been aggressively cleaning out this said attic so I hauled down an vintage stool for a quick redo project. I bought the stool at least two years ago at an estate sale that had a total of 3 stools. This one is particularly unique because the top is an actual lid that flips up so it can store stuff!
When it came to reupholstering the top, I remembered I had a few burlap pieces lying around my craft closet but then I remembered that the lovely husband had ordered me a gorgeous bouquet from Farmgirl Flowers not long ago. Farmgirl Flowers wraps their floral arrangements in burlap so I dug out that piece! I remember saving it for a small project and voila!, and it fit perfectly over the old fabric on the stool. P talked me out of just covering the fabric and he painstakingly pulled every single staple in the stool and there was a ton!
The stool sits in front of our wing back chair and the girls have been using it for their tea parties. It has turned out to be a small useful piece that is getting a ton of use in our home!
