These days, we don’t eat out all that much anymore as a family. Gone are the days where Kiki would nap in her car seat or in her carrier while we the rest of us enjoyed a meal out of the house. When we do get out, it helps to find places that we can get an early dinner, have plenty of space and that’s family friendly enough that we don’t get the side eye when our kids get loud.
Black Angus generously offered to host us for lunch or dinner to try their updated menu, so we choose linner, around 4pm when the restaurant was quiet. It’s funny, both P and I remember going to Black Angus as kids with our parents, and it’s still a great experience- especially when biting into that warm molasses bread with the whipped butter!
While Mom and Dad indulged in a few libations (blackberry mojito and a citrus pom mule), the girls happily ate their fried shrimp kids meals. I love the fact that Black Angus offers kids meals that are atypical of other restaurants. They also offer sliced steak, mac and cheese and chicken fingers. When it comes to these choices my kids will always go for the shrimp and steak. They were also stoked about their mini sundaes which come with every kid meal and I do have to note that they use actual warm fudge and not the syrup!
Everyone was content, P and I talked about possibly adopting a new dog and the kids laughed at some of the possible names that I came up with (Princess Buttercup anyone?) Around 5pm Kiki started getting antsy and A started nodding off since she had been in the pool all day. It’s then that I noticed that the restaurant began to fill up, so we headed out pretty pleased that everyone managed to have a good time and enjoy some good food in a relaxed environment!
As a fun giveaway, I am partnering up with Black Angus to give one of my readers a $50 giftcard for linner, happy hour or dinner (whichever your prefer.) Fill out the rafflecopter to enter and always thanks for following along!
