Fall is one of my favourite times to visit Disneyland. We just got back a few weeks ago and it had me thinking, there is something so special about Disneyland in the Fall. it’s a sweet spot, right before the Christmas holiday rush and after school starts that the parks are definitely less crowded and it’s worth going during the week. The weather is cooler, the crowds are lighter and there is so much to see and do that you can’t experience early in the year! Here are 5 things to love about Disneyland during the Fall!
1. The Sweets
So many delicious sweets during this time. We tried the glitter-dusted beignets, the various rice crispy treats and doughnuts throughout the park!
2. The Villains
Fall is the time where I see the most villains out and about. We saw the Queen of Hearts, Cruella Deville, Frollo and Captain Hook throughout the park. It’s also the time where Jack Skellington and Sally are seen in their photo areas, although their lines can be very long!
3. Holiday Themed Rides and Restaurants
The haunted mansion is one of my favourite rides and when it’s decked out with the Nightmare Before Christmas scenes, it’s such a better ride. Lots of different areas, rides and restaurants get makeovers and this year it was fun to see Radiator Springs and Carthay Circle done up in a fun Halloween style.
4. Mickey’s Halloween Party
Mickey’s Halloween Party is an event where the park closes to regular guests and those with party tickets can trick or treat and go on certain rides. There is a special spooky parade and it’s fun seeing all the different costumes. It’s also one of the rare times that adults can dress up in costumes and enter the park!
5. Christmas in the Park
Late fall is when the Park enters its Christmas season. Main Street becomes a winter wonderland and there are a ton of holiday-themed foods that debut. There are also tons of new souvenirs that are released every year, like the Rose Gold Mickey ears! I’m giving away a pair on my instagram so make sure to go enter!
