A few shots from around town….
Our first stop was Domaine Carneros, a sparkling wine estate with gorgeous views and yummy champagne. We ordered a cheese plate and just totally relaxed whilst drinking a flight of their current selections.
The deets: Purchased at Goodwill for $10
The paint: Rustoleum Stone grey
The hardware: Knob purchased at Home Depot for $3

Remember this Goodwill gem I stumbled upon many weeks ago? I thought it would make the perfect chalkboard since it had a large ornate frame. In theory this is a super easy project that reuses some old materials but in reality, we had the hardest time getting plywood cut in the awkward size. Anyway all you will need is a frame, plywood, paint and nails!
I painted the frame and then had the husband cut out a piece of plywood to fit the backing. The frame isn’t square so we had to shave parts down to get it to fit. Then we primed and painted the board with chalkboard paint. I let it dry for 48 hrs since it had been raining nonstop. We adhered the board with small nails making sure there were no gaps in between the board and frame.
Here it is hung on the wall.
It’s blank because I wanted to make sure it was totally dry in the house before I wrote anything on it!
