Well, Hello November!?
Halloween was busy and fun even though Kiki was a complete grump. I’m super thankful for a BFF who hosted us and that the kids were able to play for a few hours while their mom enjoyed a much-needed cocktail. We brought their candy loot home and interestingly they really haven’t been asking about their candy hauls. Maybe out of sight, out of mind?
A decided a few weeks ago that the theme of this year’s Halloween celebration should be Star Wars. We got A’s Princess Leia costume on Amazon and I found Kiki’s R2D2 inspired outfit on etsy.com At the request of A, the mister and I decided to dress up last minute. I went as Princess Leia on Hoth base (braided crown and white snow outfit) while P went as Darth Vader. I always like a DIY so I headed to Target to see what I could find. I nabbed a cream long sleeve shirt and then found a cream fleece vest in the girls section. Jeans, grey boots and a braided crown were the finishing touches on my outfit. P found a Darth Vader shirt and beanie at a costume store and my lovely friend S let us borrow a black cape. It was really silly and I’m so glad we pulled it together to dress up as a family.
Right now the girls are quietly watching a show and I can smell salmon broiling in the oven. I’m off to catch up on a few shows and I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween weekend!
