WHAT IS DISNEY’S FESTIVAL OF HOLIDAYS?
The festival of holidays is a multicultural celebration of food music and entertainment. Food is a huge part of our Disneyland experience and I’m always excited to see what new offerings they have. Sprinkled throughout Disney’s California Adventure are food booths for the Festival of Holidays. The food choices are eclectic, we saw fried turkey, puzzle, quest fundido and turkey sliders! Each booth had a main dish, side and dessert offering. Not surprisingly the lines were longest around dinner and lunch time so we waited until the crowds died down to sample the choices. I’m happy to share the 5 things to eat at Disney’s Festival of Holidays.
1. Turkey Sliders and Stuffing Mac
I found this booth tucked away between the grizzly rapids and recreation challenge. The main dish was a turkey slider with gravy and cranberry sauce. It was delicious! Paired with mac and cheese with a stuffing breaded topping this was my FAVORITE booth!
2. Cranberry Sangria
My friend Sarah and I joked that it tasted like adult grape juice. Sweet with just a but of a citrus lime twist, I paired this with the fried hot turkey.
3. Fried Hot Turkey
Crispy and perfectly spicy the fried hot turkey is served on a piece of bread with a dill pickle on top. I loved the spice!
4. Beef Pozole with Polenta
I really liked this tender piece of beef which rested on a slice of polenta. You can find this option just outside of the Ariel queue line.
5. Chocolate Pot de Creme
Smooth and sweet, the pot de creme is the dessert option at the slider booth and it’s rich and delicious!
Other equally tasty options: Cranberry margarita with Chipotle rim, Chocolate yule log and the mimosa flight.
