DISCOUNT DISNEY TICKETS
My favorite Disney-approved re-seller, Get Away Today, offers the best Disney discount tickets around. In addition to great discount prices, their customer service is top-notch. They have an entire department dedicated to making sure every order has a wonderful experience and they are on-call to help you during your vacation if you need them.
Buying tickets from Get Away Today is easy and convenient since all their tickets are sent electronically. You can take their vouchers and head straight to the gate without waiting in ticket booth lines. They also offer layaway plans so you can pay off your vacation over time. Don’t forget to mention THIS BLISS LIFE for your discount!
3. Disneybound together
Since adults wearing costumes at Disneyland is not allowed, consider Disneybounding with your tween! Disneybounders dress up in stylish, color-coordinated outfits (known as Disneybounds) that are inspired by a particular character. Disneybounding doesn’t have to be expensive, places like Amazon or Forever21 have affordable pieces that you can dress up with accessories.
4. Gift Cards
I usually give my tween girl a $40 gift card to spend on whatever she wants. It’s one of my favorite traditions. I initially thought she would just get junk but she is very thoughtful about what she purchases. Sometimes it’s her favorite Disney treats and other times she brings her own money to supplement a bigger purchase. It’s usually a thoughtful purchase especially when the rule is once it’s gone, no more money.
5. Challenge them!
Challenge your tween girl at Disneyland to a head-to-head competition on Buzz Lightyear or Toy Story Mania. Make a goal to get a certain score or see who can get the highest score in your car. A deathly dose of competition never hurt anyone!
6. Visit Walt Disney’s Apartment
Splurge on a special walking tour “In Walt’s Footsteps” and get a peek into Walt Disney’s apartment that has been preserved in his memory!
7. Eat Something New!
Challenge your tween to try something they have never eaten before at Disneyland! Favorite things around here are the seasonal ice cream flavors or churros, limited edition shakes at smoothies are a special treat from the Jolly Holiday Bakery.
