Skeletina lives in the in-between world, a world in which the living and the dead come together. Skeletina gives readers a tour of the in-between world and her friends that reside there with her.

Friends like Senor Tic Toc and Spider Grandma guide Skeletina within the in-between world showing her what’s possible through imagination! For instance, Spider Grandma shows Skeletina that she can make a net with her mind to catch the wasps that turn children’s dreams into nightmares.

Skeletina also helps her friend Sombras who is very shy. Skeletina plays music within her home to make Sombras feel more comfortable and not so anxious. She also helps the children who visit the in-between world in their dreams, those who have a lot on their minds. She helps them take the weights off their feet so they can fly and explore the world with her.
