Disneyland is reopen and during the closure some fun changes happened! During our visit in late April 2021, we checked out the new changes at the Haunted Mansion plus got a sneak peek at Disney’s Halfway to Halloween campaign. Here are the changes to The Haunted Mansion and Halfway To Halloween details!
I was invited by Disneyland Resort to experience the 2021 Disneyland Reopening. I received 1 day Park Hopper tickets, a dining credit and parking pass. All thoughts and opinions my own.
Disneyland Haunted Mansion Changes
The Haunted Mansion originally opened in 1969. Since then some minor changes have been made with the latest being during the Covid-19 Park closure. Disneyland hosted my family and we got a private ride on the famous doom buggies! Outside the ride, freshly landscaped details, including lily pads and society garlic, now adorn the site for dearly departed pets, representing their stories from beyond the grave.
The Haunted Mansion hallway that follows directly after the elevator ride is always filled with interesting portraits. One of the original portraits ‘April to December’ has returned! As guests step closer to the doom buggy, they’ll see a young woman aging before their eyes.
Halfway to halloween EVENT
The Halfway to Halloween event is a fun Disney themed celebration that encourages fans to celebrate Halloween early! The Parks are celebrating by offering costume ideas, fun recipes and yummy Disney themed treats all of which can be found on the Disney Parks blog.
Disney Music Group has rounded up some ghoulish tunes from your favorite Disney films and attractions to add some pop to your pumpkin party. Check out the full playlist here.
During our visit to Disneyland, we had a private meet and greet with the Evil Queen. In between admiring herself in her mirror, she told Kiki to tell her Dad to go away and how much she enjoys Halloween. She is literally the BEST character interaction at Disneyland.
