After a long chat with the kids about our summer plans, I’m ready to share our ideas with a fun summer bucket list for families. I love that A’s ideas are reflected (draw a comic and dye your hair.) Honestly, these additions describe her personality so well! Kiki’s ideas (zoo and swimming) are for my animal loving little fish.
We thought it would be fun to have some family playdates with our friends. We want to challenge a family to a bowling night and maybe host a few game nights. Our family loves playing games and I think popcorn for the kids and cocktails for the parents would be a fun night! Here’s the full list:
- Visit the Drive-In
- Host a bonfire on the beach
- Complete a large puzzle
- Bake hand pies
- Visit a boardwalk

One thing that sparked discussion was the inclusion of a visit to the drive-in. If you could have only heard me trying to describe a drive-in to these kids, it was wild! They had no idea that there was a place where you could watch movies on a huge screen in your car! Our area has one drive-in that my parents took me as a youngster so it should be fun to introduce the girls to this activity.
