Captain Marvel Movie Review and Merchandise!

Raise your hand if you were able to see Captain Marvel last weekend. I’m here with a short spoiler free review of Captain Marvel! We ended up taking both girls and they had a blast. Early in the film I had to hide Kiki’s eyes from a scary fight scene (she was scared of the aliens) but other than that she was engaged and excited throughout the film. It’s a fun film for sure, set in the 90’s and has character development. Plus it’s entertaining to watch a female superhero kick butt! We are heading to DCA soon and Disney recently announced a new Captain Marvel meet and greet so the girls are super excited. Here is my Captain Marvel movie review!

Black Panther Fan Gift Guide for All Ages!

black panther fan gift guide

It was a huge week for Black Panther!  It was nominated for several Golden Globes!  Black Panther is the first ever superhero movie nominated for a Golden Globe for best drama of the year.  I’m pretty happy that Black Panther is getting the attention it deserves.  The story and character development was excellent and I was so happy to see Black women portrayed as the saviors! Since it’s the holiday season, I  put together a Black Panther fan gift guide for all ages!

Minimalist Playroom Holiday Decor

For the second year in a row the girls requested that their playroom be decorated for Christmas and I was only too happy to oblige.  I wanted to challenge myself to use just our existing minimalist playroom holiday decor and not have to buy anything new! We eventually plan to make this a guest room but for now, everyday I hear Kiki’s little voice and hands “baking” so it remains a play space for my aspiring baker.  To keep it low on the clutter I regularly purge and put away toys.  We then cycle them back in after a few months.  I also keep that vintage Lane chest in the room which holds their stuffed animals.  The toys are out of the way when not played with but easily accessible when the girls need their AG dolls and tsum tsums.Read More »Minimalist Playroom Holiday Decor
