During the pandemic, we’ve been relying on devices because I wanted things to be as normal as possible. After watching the animation, I appreciated the gentle reminder that I need to be present, especially when discussing issues with my child.  And that meant putting down my phone or tablet. Even things like standing at our kitchen island and doing a rundown of how her day went, what her friends are up to or talking about a show or movie that she is looking forward to fosters communication between the two of us.
