My cousin was in town a few weekends ago so we met her in San Francisco for a quick day trip!  Our day trip coincided with Sunday Streets SF, a new block party program in SF where the city shuts down certain streets for a street fair that includes food trucks and musical performances.  In August, the Mission was the particular neighborhood that hosted Sunday Streets!  My mom grew up in the Mission and it’s such a vibrant and colorful community- plus it has amazing restaurants!  In addition to lots of food options, there were arts and crafts, musicians, a Taiko group performing and people everywhere!  We had a delicious brunch at Regalito Rosticeria (I had the huevos rancheros) and we all shared a pitcher of sangria.  We also stopped by the Cream truck for some ice cream, Kiki really enjoyed her chocolate ice cream.

Sunday Streets SF has two more events before the end of the year.  If you need something to do in SF, I definitely recommend this event!

What to Know About Sunday Streets SF

1.  Major streets are usually shut down so use an app like Waze to find a parking garage and be prepared to walk far to find a spot.

2.  Pets and bikes seem to be welcome, we even saw people on roller skates.

3.  The event is free and runs from 11 to 4pm.

4.  The event changes locations weekly so make sure to check the calendar for current events.
