ABOUT THE SNOOPY SHOW

“The Snoopy Show” is a new animated series for kids and families that stars the internationally beloved beagle and his feathered best friend Woodstock as they tackle all-new adventures. Snoopy may seem like just a happy-dancin’, bone-lovin’, doghouse-sittin’ pup, but he’s much more than that. He’s Joe Cool: hippest kid in school. He’s surfer king and famed arm wrestler Masked Marvel. He’s a World War I flying ace who battles the Red Baron. All of his bold, beloved personas are on full display in this brand-new animated comedy.

Based upon the “Peanuts” comic strip by Charles M. Schulz.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE SNOOPY SHOW

I grew up on classic Snoopy holiday specials and so it’s such a treat to share this series with my kids. The Snoopy Show streaming on Apple TV+ is surprising for a few reasons. First, it’s almost an origin story (showing the moment Charlie Brown met Snoopy) and it’s funny!

The first episode is a sweet story of how Charlie Brown adopted Snoopy and also explains how Snoopy and Woodstock become best friends. My kids were happy to see the episode show Snoopy’s wild imagination. Snoopy and Woodstock go flying through the air ON SNOOPY’S HOUSE which ties into a fun Nintendo Wii game they love to play.

Apple TV+ has released 22 episodes and they are around 24 minutes each. It’s nostalgic fun, often times Snoopy goes on these fantastical adventures with Woodstock by his side. Like the original episodes Snoopy and Woodstock don’t talk but they communicate in other ways helping each other live their best lives. And you know what? That’s so needed in the series since Charlie Brown is known to be depressive and who wants to watch a depressing cartoon during a pandemic?

Bottom line: The Snoopy Show is nostalgic fun that arrives at a time when it’s need the most.
