Spread the love

Ten minutes into Tehran and I’m sweating.  A young Israeli couple boards a plane bound for an adventure in India.  They bump into another couple, a serious man and his companions who is clad in a burka.  Wheels are up and both couples are seemingly in their own worlds.  An emergency landing has one couple steeled for an unknown future and the Israeli couple panicked for their lives.  The destination of the emergency landing?  Tehran, Iran.

Niv Sultan as Tamar

In a series of events it’s revealed that the serious couple are actually about to run a spy operation on Tehran soil.  With the attention on the near hysterical Israeli couple, the mysterious woman in a burka swaps places with a woman in the bathroom and then makes her way into the city to complete her mission.

Tehran on Apple TV+ is a new espionage thriller from “Fauda” writer Moshe Zonder that tells the thrilling story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy.

Niv Sultan plays Tamar Rabiyan and she is riveting in this role.  Reminiscent  of the show Alias, Tamar dons several disguises as she works to complete her mission in Tehran.  She’s fantastic in the role!

Shaun Taub as Faraz

The actors who play Tabrizi a local Mossad agent and Faraz, a Revolutionary Guard are the key to the tension in this show.  These two played by Navid Negahban and Shaun Taub respectively. These two characters push the tension with a dangerous cat and mouse game and I’m so excited to see who wins in the end! Faraz is a mystery, he has several tender moments with his wife and on the other hand is very dangerous and will torture whoever to find the true identity of Tamar.

Tehran is streaming on Apple TV+ now!
