Disneyland has some amazing options for food on site but if you ever wondered if you have options nearby that are more affordable, I’m here to say that you do!  Anaheim has an eclectic community and the food choices nearby reflect that.  From Italian to Pho, Mexican or comfort food, there are lots of hidden gems in the neighborhood.  Here are the best options for food near Disneyland!

Seven Options for Food Near Disneyland

1. Sabrasoda Mexican Food

Locally owned, Sabrasoda offers tacos, combination plates, burritos and more!  The food is affordable and tasty, offering different dishes like carne asada fries to those who want a quick meal not in the parks.  It used to be a hidden gem however now it’s one of the most popular restaurants near Disneyland. 

Parking is extremely limited as this is one of several small restaurants in this particular strip mall.  Calling ahead and picking up may be your best option.

2. Marri’s Pizza and Pasta

Located a few blocks away from Disneyland, Marri’s Pizza and Pasta is on West Katella, adjacent to the back side of Disney California Adventure.  Tucked in a strip mall, it’s homey Italian food in a cute setting plus the staff is incredibly friendly and fast.  This is another place in which the parking lot is fairly small so again, takeout may be in the cards if you are staying at a hotel nearby.  

Marri’s has an extensive menu and items like lasagna, calamari and fresh bread are some of the best choices.

3. Byrd’s Hot Chicken

Next to Sabrasoda is another small locally owned restaurant, Byrd’s Hot Chicken. If spicy chicken is your jam, then Byrd’s has you covered.  Located directly across the street from Disney’s California Adventure, Byrd’s is a small shop that serves up tasty chicken sandwiches and tenders.  The prices are on the higher end however, the portions are large and the food is quality that is worth the cost.   

Again, this strip mall is tiny and packed with popular businesses so parking can be a challenge.

4. Pho Ha Plus Vietnamese cuisine

If you are in the mood for a hot bowl of pho, Pho Ha Plus has you covered.  Located on South Harbor, a few blocks down from Disneyland, Pho Ha Plus has a large modern dining room.  The portions are generous and the ingredients fresh and flavorful.  

As a plus, this restaurant has a bar and an affordable happy hour service!

5. Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles

Roscoe’s is a chain restaurant but don’t let that deter you from enjoying a large plate of comfort food.  You may have to wait since lots of tourists like to dine in but the waffles, chicken, and greens are really worth the wait. 

Roscoe’s is located further down Harbour and is next door to the Pho Ha Plus restaurants.

6. California Fish Grill

California Fish Grill is another option that is a chain restaurant.  Located off East Katella behind the Anaheim Garden Walk, California Fish Grill is a fairly new option for food near Disneyland. Fresh sustainable fish at an affordable price is what California Fish Grill offers to locals and visitors. 

Choose from salmon, shrimp and different types of white fish grilled or fried.

7. Pizza Press

The Pizza Press near Disneyland, California, is a popular pizzeria situated in Anaheim, just a short distance from Disneyland Resort. With a unique build-your-own pizza concept that is growing very popular, this restaurant offers a delicious and personalized dining experience for visitors.

The menu features a selection of artisanal pizzas crafted from top-notch ingredients. Calaca Mamas is a newer restaurant just across the street from the Disneyland entrance. This restaurant prides itself in celebrating the vibrant flavors of Mexico. Upon entering the cozy eatery, you’re greeted by a warm and welcoming ambiance, reflecting the spirit of Mexican culture with colorful artwork and traditional music.

The extensive menu offers classic Mexican dishes prepared with care and authenticity, from savory street tacos to delectable enchiladas. During a visit, the carne asada tacos stood out with tender, grilled meat bursting with flavor, while the tableside-prepared guacamole impressed us with its zesty and creamy blend of fresh ingredients.

The service at Calaca Mamas is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. However, due to its popularity, the restaurant can get busy, so reservations are recommended to avoid wait times. One area for improvement would be to offer a wider variety of vegetarian and vegan options to cater to diverse dietary preferences.

In summary, Calaca Mamas is a fantastic choice for those craving an authentic Mexican culinary adventure. The flavorful dishes, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service make it a standout eatery in the area.

8. El Tango Empanadas

El Tango Empanadas has a few parking spots out front and not much street parking. They offer takeout which we suggest taking advantage of.
