We arrived at the Alpine Inn around 1 pm ready to drop off luggage and head to kill some time in the neighborhood. We were greeted by a lovely clerk at the front desk who informed us that our room was ready which was fantastic since the check-in time is 3:00 pm. She took our credit card for a deposit and then handed us our room keys.
It took less than 10 minutes total time to check-in. It was so nice to be able to relax and unpack and not have to kill two hours before check-in.
Alpine Inn Room & Photos
Since we were able to check in early, we headed to our room which was on the second floor. My first impression was that the practical room was incredibly clean, beds were neat and there was a significant amount of bath and hand towels. The room featured comfortable beds and shutters to block out the outdoor light. The rooms weren’t pitch black at night though so I’d recommend bringing a sleep mask if you need no light in your room to sleep.
Each room has complimentary Wi-Fi access, and it’s sufficient to log in for web browsing. Entertainment is provided by a flat-screen TV which has several cable channels.
DISCOUNT DISNEY TICKETS
My favorite Disney-approved re-seller, Get Away Today, offers the best Disney discount tickets around. In addition to great discount prices, their customer service is top-notch. They have an entire department dedicated to making sure every order has a wonderful experience and they are on-call to help you during your vacation if you need them.
Buying tickets from Get Away Today is easy and convenient since all their tickets are sent electronically. You can take their vouchers and head straight to the gate without waiting in ticket booth lines. They also offer layaway plans so you can pay off your vacation over time. Don’t forget to mention THIS BLISS LIFE for your discount!
Once in the room, we spotted an in-room coffee maker and a microwave and mini-refrigerator which offers convenient storage for Disneyland snacks and leftovers. Most importantly, select rooms cater to guests with accessibility requirements, incorporating designated features for enhanced comfort and inclusivity.
The Alpine Inn has air-conditioned rooms, but we had to keep the room fairly warm at night since Anaheim was experiencing a cold snap.
Alpine Inn features a free parking lot in a small lot in the center of the motel. It’s a bit tight and around evening it fills up so I’d avoid renting a car if you can.
The Alpine Inn has an outdoor swimming pool that is heated and a “business center” that has a few computers in the main lobby. The lobby also had water, coffee, and hot chocolate every morning which was nice because the winter mornings averaged about 45 degrees at 7 am!
For the most part, the comfortable room was quiet but we could hear our neighbors moving around. I’d say that rooms that are closer to Katella can hear the traffic but rooms that back up to Disney California Adventure are quieter. We could hear the sounds of Cars Land and the Disneyland fireworks at night but since DCA closes at 10, we didn’t have trouble sleeping.
Check-out time at the Alpine Inn is 11 am which was sufficient but I’d imagine that they would be happy to work with guests that need a later time. YMMV but again, we found that the Alpine Inn had excellent customer service.
While we reserved a basic 2 queen room, the Alpine Inn also offers a family room option that is equivalent to a two-bedroom suite. These run closer to $250-300 a night which is still a pretty good deal for the area. For those needing laundry services, the Alpine Inn has a laundry room that guests can access.
If you're planning a Disneyland vacation, make sure to use Get Away Today- they offer the best prices and services. Plus, you can save an extra $10 off packages with promo code BLISS.
Alpine Inn Location
One of the reasons that the Alpine Inn is desirable is because it has a great location and it’s just a short walk to Disneyland Resort! The hotel is located 0.7 miles away from Disneyland, and we timed it multiple times. With two children at a brisk pace, it took 16 minutes to walk to the front of the security lines at the Disneyland entrance. The walk back was much slower due to tired feet as it was just under a 20-minute walk.
While the nearest airport is the Orange County Airport (SNA) we typically like flying into the Long Beach Airport and taking an Uber to the Disneyland Resort area. A ride from a rideshare service from Long Beach to the Alpine Inn was around $35 and the drive time took approximately 28 minutes due to traffic.
For those staying in the area for an event at the Anaheim Convention Center, this would be a great Anaheim property to stay at since it is directly across the street and a short walk to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for your coffee fix.
Alpine Inn Cost
One of the best aspects of this inn is the price. For two nights on a weekend, we paid $380 which breaks down to about $190 a night with taxes. Pulling up comps we found that this is pretty average! When we checked for our trip the lowest price at the time was easily offered by the Alpine Inn website. I’ve also seen during the summer.
KAYAK: According to KAYAK, the Alpine Inn Anaheim typically ranges from $170-$210 per night, with an average of $190.
Agoda: Agoda lists the average price at $140 per night.
TripAdvisor:shows the average nightly rate at $129-$249 per night.
Dining Options Nearby
There are several dining options near the Alpine Inn for hotel guests to choose from. A small shopping plaza is about an 8-minute easy walk away. It has Byrd’s Hot Chicken, Brewberry Cafe, and a small takeout pizza spot. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is about a 3-minute walk and is located across the street from the Alpine Inn. Doordash delivers to this hotel and we recommend meeting the driver right near the lobby.
We found that the Alpine Inn is a clean and quiet place to stay near the main entrance of the Disneyland Resort and is a smaller property that is the best value in the area. The friendly staff made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed including free wi-fi and plenty of towels.
There aren’t too many frills but I think this little hotel is a great place to stay considering it’s one of the lowest-priced properties in the area.
