101 Things To Do at Disneyland Resort!

Disneyland Resort consists of two theme parks and three hotels, PLUS the Downtown Disney District which has activities and dining. It would probably take a decade to do every single activity, try every single dish but who has time for that!? If it’s your first time or you’ve been there hundreds of times, I have a fun list of 101 things to do at Disneyland Resort!

  1. Take a photo in the giant teacup outside the Mad Hatter shop in Fantasyland.
  2. Listen to Hawaiian music on the patio outside Trader Sams!
  3. Have a cocktail in the Hearthstone Lounge- the couches are so comfy.
  4. Grab a Dole Whip with a Rum Float at the Disneyland Hotel Coffee House.
  5. Play musical chairs with the Mad Hatter and Alice near the refresher corner. Occasionally they will also have a tea party across from It’s a Small World!
  6. Watch Spiderman’s show near the entrance of Avenger’s Campus.
  7. Take a photo in a flying elephant.  Located under the awning around the Dumbo ride is an empty elephant perfect for photo opportunities.
  8. Enjoy a raspberry Dole Whip on the Tiki Room terrace area. There are 4 small tables that are usually empty because they are hard to spot from the Adventureland.
  9. Enjoy a vanilla malt and a bowl of hearty soup at the Carnation Cafe!
  10. Listen to a conversation on the phone in Starbucks
  11. Check out Rosita, the talking bird at Tropical Hideaway.
  12. Catch a show at the Fantasyland Theater!
  13. Enjoy some tacos at the food truck near the Monster’s Inc. ride in California Adventure.
  14. Watch the Dr. Strange show at Avenger’s Campus.
  15. Did you know you can buy smoothies at California Adventure? Find them at Schmoozies!
  16. Take a photo at the Happily Ever After sign in the Animation Building.
  17. Enjoy a seasonal-themed high tea at Steakhouse 55.
  18. Watch the fireworks show from Galaxy’s Edge. In front of the Millenium Falcon offers the best view.

  24. Buy a bag of fresh beignets at the Jazz Kitchen. We love the bite-sized ones.
  25. Splurge on a spa treatment at Grand Californian.
  26. Slide down the slides at the resort hotel pools.
  27. Ride the moveable cages on the Mickey Wheel.
  28. Listen to a bedtime story at the Grand Californian fireplace.
  29. Sink your teeth into Jack Jack’s Num Nums, a gooey delicious cookie in Pixar Pier!
  30. Explore the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure, sometimes you can spot a character hanging out here.
  31. Find your favorite Hidden Mickey (mine is in the magic shop on Main St!)
  32. If you are a guest at Disneyland Hotel, you can sign up for a 6:00am 2 mile power walk through California Adventure!
  33. Check out the model of Disneyland Resort near the Disney Gallery on Main Street!
  34. Ask to pilot the Mark Twain boat along the Rivers of America.
  35. Invest in an engraved leather bracelet in the Frontierland shops!
  36. Get a bowl of ramen at Lucky Fortune Cookery.
  37. Ride in the nose of the Monorail.
  38. Brave the Candlelight Processional crowds to watch the ceremony.
  39. Visit H-E-double hockey sticks by riding Mr. Toads Wild Ride.
  40. Wait in line for a Candy Cane during the holiday season. Make sure to talk to a cast member to find out where the wristbands are being distributed at.
  41. Start a popcorn bucket collection.
  42. Hire a VIP tour guide for around $500 an hour for front-of-line privileges.
  43. Taste test a Zombie Gingerbread Mickey during Halloween!
  44. Most of the plants in Tomorrowland are edible, see how many varieties you can spot.
  45. Watch the cast members making candy in the shop adjacent to the Winnie the Pooh ride.
  46. Indulge in a lobster roll at Harbour Galley.
  47. Ask a cast member to take a photo near the white funeral wagon at the exit of the Haunted Mansion.
  48. Ask Redd if you can join her crew. She hangs near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
  49. Find R2D2 in Galaxy’s Edge. Hint: He’s in the Droid Depot.
  50. Participate in a trivia challenge at Disneyland Hotel. Just note that you will need a park ticket for Disneyland to answer several of the challenges.
  51. Hunt down Vi Moradi in Batuu and ask her why she is hiding from the Storm Troopers.
  52. Watch a Laughing Stock show while sipping on a root beer float that the Golden Horseshoe Theater.
  53. Head to Tom Sawyer’s Island to burn off some energy or calories!
  54. Get your silhouette cut at the Silhouette Studio on Main Street.
  55. Catch a Dapper Dan’s performance on Main Street.
  56. Take an animation class at the Animation Academy.
  57. Ride Radiator Springs at night and enjoy the view of the neon lights.
  58. Visit Miguel at the Plaza de la Familia!
  59. Visit the interactive Beast’s Library in the Animation Building.
  60. Experience the snowfall during the holidays in Disneyland.
  61. Build a lightsaber at Saavi’s Workshop in Batuu.
  62. Ride Guardians at Night and watch the cast members try to catch the escaped monsters with their nets!
  63. Try the lobster nachos at Lamplight Lounge.
  64. Pull the rope (or not) in the line queue inside Indiana Jones Adventure.
  65. Sit on a moving stool at Trader Sam’s Tiki Bar.
  66. Head to the Wishing Well to hear Snow White singing.
  67. Bowl at Splitsville in Downtown Disney.
  68. Buy a stamp and a postcard and drop it off in one of the many mailboxes throughout the park!
  69. Find as many penny press machines as you can throughout the Parks and Hotels.
  70. Head to the top of the Treehouse and snap a selfie!
  71. Meet several characters like Mickey, Minnie and Goofy in Toon Town.
  72. Huddle in the caboose on Casey’s Circus Train.
  73. Try a unique ice cream flavor at Salt and Straw.
  74. Watch a Green Army Band show in California Adventure.
  75. Catch the flag ceremony at the end of the day.
  76. If you have a toddler, head to the Disney Jr dance party for a fun time!
  77. Invest in a character portrait drawn by an artist from Off the Page in California Adventure.
  78. Pick out an ornament in the Holiday shop!
  79. Get a parasol with your name on it in the French Quarter.
  80. Dig into a fried chicken platter at the Plaza Inn.
  81. Head to Avengers Campus and Pym Test Kitchen for oversized food!
  82. Relax on the benches underneath the Silly Swings. This area is usually deserted!
  83. Get a chocolate sample from the Ghirardelli Shop in DCA.
  84. Request a wake-up call from one of your favorite Disney Characters if you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.
  85. Get the free photo souvenir after exiting Buzz Lightyear ride.
  86. Try an IPA at the Karl Strauss Beer Truck in California Adventure.
  87. During the holidays, visit Santa at the Redwood Creek Challenge in DCA.
  88. Listen to live music at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen.
  89. Check out the rotating food trucks at Downtown Disney.
  90. Splurge on the character breakfast at Paradise Pier. It’s the only breakfast where Mickey Mouse makes an appearance.
  91. Visit Toon Town and relax on the grassy areas with a snack.
  92. Try a seasonal flavored cotton candy sold throughout both Parks.
  93. Grab a button at the shops near Town Hall or Town Hall itself if you are celebrating a special occasion.
  94. Let a cast member know if you are celebrating a birthday and they may bring out a special dessert at many of the restaurants throughout the Parks.
  95. Grab a jumbo Mickey pretzel and people watch near the Rivers of America.
  96. Get a soft-serve treat for the ice cream stand in Pixar Pier.
  97. Watch the Disneyland Marching Band do their daily performance in front of the castle. Occasionally Bert and Mary will join in the fun!
  98. Sneak inside the Main Street Cinema and watch black and white Mickey cartoons.
  99. Try the grey stuff at Red Rose Tavern (it’s delicious!)
  100. Search for the Little Man of Disneyland’s house in Adventureland.
  101. Dress up for a Dapper Day at Disneyland!
  102. See the Haunted Mansion Nightmare Before Christmas decor during the holidays!
  103. Do the Goat trick and get dizzy on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!
