The Funny Farm Restaurant is a fairly new local eatery that has been serving up great burgers in San Jose. Located on San Felipe Road, the Funny Farm offers a fun, casual atmosphere decorated with all sorts of quirky knick-knacks, odds and ends, and items of humor. A favorite is their truffle shuffle ur toasted brioche roll is dressed with Funny Farm burger sauce, and then topped with an Angus beef patty. Gooey Swiss cheese is melted on top, and it’s then buried in a pile of white truffle-grilled mushrooms, and crispy bacon.
The UFO burger is another favorite and it’s a two-quarter pound grass-fed beef patties on a brioche roll, with monkey special sauce, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, pepper jack cheese, bacon, jalapeño poppers, and a crispy cheese frico. For vegetarians, Funny Farm Restuarant offers up an Impossible burger with all the fixings.

Open in 2019, Hella Good Burger was started by two long-time friends passionate about burgers, using ethically-raised beef patties along with veggie and vegan-friendly options.
Guests can try Hella Good’s signature stacked creations, like the “Hella Shroomin” with a 1/3 lb beef patty, Tillamook Swiss, sherry-marinated maitake & cremini mushrooms, black garlic aioli, and caramelized onions, or the “Hella Fried Chicken” with fried chicken breast and sriracha mayo. The “Feelin Hella Blue” is their version of a blue cheese burger with a 1/3 lb beef patty, Point Reyes mild blue cheese, bacon jam, and classic aioli.

Sliders is the rare burger spot in San Jose that offers meats like ostrich, elk, and wild boar.
If you are looking for an old-school diner burger experience then Sliders Burgers is the place for you. Slifers is a small place but every time we visit they aren’t overly crowded so this is still a great hidden spot in San Jose.
