Hampton Inn Buena Park Review: Comfortable Stay Close to the Action
If you’re planning a trip to Buena Park, maybe for a weekend at Knott’s Berry Farm, a visit to Medieval Times, or a quick getaway near Anaheim, the Hampton Inn Buena Park might be a good choice. It’s one of those hotels that delivers exactly what you expect from the brand: clean rooms, friendly service, and a simple, comfortable stay. I stayed here during the summer while visiting Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland. I wanted to share a detailed review that covers what worked, what didn’t, and what to know before you book the Hampton Inn Buena Park.

Friendly Staff and a Warm Welcome
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was how welcoming the staff was. Check-in was quick, easy, and genuinely pleasant. Every interaction felt professional and kind, which always sets the tone for a good hotel experience. The hotel has that familiar Hampton Inn feel—clean lobby, bright breakfast area, and a relaxed environment that’s great for travelers, families, and theme-park guests.
Another thoughtful detail: the hotel had a pet-friendly setup near the entrance. There was a dog bowl filled with fresh water and a few treats, which I appreciated even though I wasn’t traveling with a pet. It’s always nice to see a hotel go the extra mile for guests who bring their furry family members.
Location: Close to Everything… As Long as You Drive
One of the biggest advantages of the Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park is its location—as long as you’re not planning to walk everywhere. Knott’s Berry Farm is only about a five-minute Uber ride away, so if your visit centers around the park, this hotel is an easy and convenient choice. However, I wouldn’t recommend walking to Knott’s from here. The route is long, not particularly pedestrian-friendly, and passes under a freeway. It’s just not worth the hassle when ride apps are quick and inexpensive for such a short distance.
The same goes for food and entertainment. There isn’t much within true walking distance. But again, everything is a short drive away: Porto’s Bakery, Pirate’s Adventure Dinner Show Review (Buena Park), Gudetama Cafe, and plenty of restaurants sit within a five-ten minute drive. If you’re comfortable relying on a car or rideshare, the location of Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park works well.
Rooms: Clean, Simple, and Consistent
Hampton Inns are known for their consistency, and Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park is no different. We booked the queen suite room which was large, clean, straightforward, and equipped with the essentials: comfortable bedding, reliable air conditioning, a small fridge, and a good amount of space to move around.
If you’ve stayed at a Hampton Inn & Suites before, the room setup will feel very familiar. It’s not a luxury experience, but it’s exactly what most people need for a theme-park trip or an overnight stay.

Noise levels were low during my stay, even in the summer when families filled the Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park. The hallways remained calm, and I slept comfortably without hearing much from neighboring rooms or the surrounding area.
Breakfast: Standard Hampton Inn Comfort
Every morning, the Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park offers a complimentary breakfast, and it hits all the typical notes you expect from Hampton Inn. There’s fresh waffle batter, along with cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit, and about one or two hot options like eggs, sausage, or bacon. It’s not gourmet, but it’s predictable and satisfying, especially when you need something fast before heading to Knott’s Berry Farm for the day.
The breakfast area is bright and clean, and staff members frequently refreshed items and wiped down tables. In a busy hotel, that attention makes all the difference.
Amenities: Everything You Need for a Comfortable Stay
TheHampton Inn & Suites Buena Park features the usual Hampton amenities: a fitness center, business services, free Wi-Fi, and an outdoor pool. During summer, the pool area stayed busy but felt comfortable and well-maintained. Wi-Fi was strong enough for streaming and working, which is always a plus.
Parking was easy and free, a huge perk in Southern California where hotel parking fees have become more common. The property itself felt safe, and the surrounding neighborhood, which was a car lot and an apartment complex, was quiet during my stay.

Who This Hotel Is Best For
The Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park is a solid fit for:
- Families visiting Knott’s Berry Farm
- Travelers who want a clean, predictable hotel experience
- Guests with pets, thanks to the pet-friendly touches
- Anyone who prefers driving or rideshares over walking
- Travelers looking for good value without unnecessary extras
If you want luxury or walkable dining options right outside your door, Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park won’t check those boxes. But if you’re looking for an affordable, dependable place to sleep after a full day of theme-park fun, it’s a great match.
Final Thoughts
My stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Buena Park was smooth, comfortable, and exactly what I needed for a summer trip to the area. The friendly staff, clean rooms, pet-friendly touches, and easy five-minute drive to Knott’s made the experience stress-free. While the location isn’t ideal for walking, the short Uber rides to Porto’s and Medieval Times make up for it. For travelers who value convenience, comfort, and consistency, this hotel is a solid pick in Buena Park.
