Pirate’s Adventure Dinner Show Review (Buena Park)

Winter break is the time when we head to a warmer climate (usually Southern California) and try new activities. We had the opportunity to kill a few hours so I went on Groupon and found discounted tickets for the Pirate’s Adventure Dinner show. We had such a blast watching the show, the kids were focused for the entire two hours! Here is a Pirate’s Adventure Dinner show review for families!

Pirate’s Adventure Dinner Show- Parking

Pirate’s Adventure Dinner is located in Buena Park and is across the street from Knott’s Berry Farm. It has its own dedicated parking lot directly next to the building, so there shouldn’t be any worries about having to park on the street.

Pirate’s Adventure Dinner Show- The Food

The food at the Pirates Adventure dinner show is interesting.  The cocktail hour before the show has staff walking around with several appetizers.  I spotted crudite, jalapeño poppers, meatballs, and pigs in a blanket.  They do have a full bar with random offerings but the drinks are pretty expensive- my Mai Tai was $18 (!!) in a keepsake glass.

Our server was really great and on top of our meal and drinks! Dinner was a piece of chicken, a shrimp skewer, soup or salad, and a piece of cake for dessert.  They are making many dinners so everything felt mass-produced and dry.  I would definitely eat before or after just because the food wasn’t the greatest, but please remember to tip your server!!

Pirates Adventure- The Show

While the food was mediocre, the show itself is WONDERFUL!  The Pirates Adventure dinner show technically begins in the waiting area, where your pirate will lead you to your seats.  Our team was yellow and our pirates let a raucous cheer while we marched to our seats!

The Pirates Adventure dinner show itself was funny, thrilling, and such a great experience for my family.  My daughters were brought up onto the boat and the interaction with the audience makes the storyline that much better!

There is singing, dancing, fake sword fights, and a lovely Cirque du Soleil-ish performance with aerial silks. My husband even joined in when they had him raise the yellow banner on our side of the auditorium.

Pirates Adventure- Seating

We were placed on the second row of the yellow section.  The seating is very tight, so consider asking for an end seat if you need more room.

Bonus Tips!

Check in on yelp and you will get a free scarf which you’ll need to cheer your team on! They are also available for purchase for $3.
