Spending time at Aulani in the room and at the pools is an experience all by itself. But did you know that Disney Aulani Resort offers a world-class spa tucked within the grounds? Laniwai Spa is truly a unique experience that all Aulani fans should try.  Here is everything you need to know about Laniwai, a Disney Aulani Resort spa.

Like the rest of the resort, Laniwai makes sure you learn bits of Hawaiian culture when you visit. When you arrive at the spa, you are greeted and asked to close your eyes.  You can then pick out a stone that has a Hawaiian word etched on it.  Then you are asked to toss it into the water pond and watch the reflection of light on the walls.  Then, you get access to a full-size locker with slippers and a plush robe.

Laniwai Spa offers co-ed facilities like a massage room and relaxation room if you want to relax with your partner.  Arrive early to your appointment so you can experience the hydrotherapy garden called Kula Wai.  The Kula Wai is the only hydrotherapy garden on Oahu and consists of heated soaking tubs, a rain shower circuit, a heated whirlpool, and a cold plunge.  All of these amenities are strategically spaced among the palm trees, plumeria, cabanas, and fountains. 

If co-ed isn’t your thing there are separate relaxation rooms for men and women.  Here is the complete list of amenities that Kula Wai offers:

What are the services offered at Disney Aulani Resort Spa?

Massages, facials, massage packages, body remedies, manicures and pedicures are offered at Laniwai, and range in priced from $100-400. Laniwai’s full-service salon houses four manicure stations, four pedicure stations, and two hair stations. In addition, grooming treatments are available for men.

Can you order food at Disney Aulani Resort Spa?

Yes!  You can order meals from Aulani restaurants and it takes around 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive depending on the time of day!  You can also order hot tea from anyone anytime, flavors include jasmine, lychee, or hibiscus white tea.

Are there any extra fees for an Aulani spa service?

Yes, there is a 20% gratuity and tax tacked onto any services you receive.

Can Kids get services?

Spa services are for adults ages 18 and up. However, teens ages 14 to 17 may enjoy treatments with adult supervision. Laniwai offers magical makeovers—the keiki wahine experience—which is available for kids ages 3 and up.

Exclusive to boys and girls ages 3 to 12, Painted Sky: HI Style Studio provides magical makeovers that include hairstyling, makeup, costumes, and accessories. Kids can transform into mermaids, dress for adventures across O’ahu, style in the fashion of Moana of Montunui and more!

With ‘Ohana Means Family, a special massage experience is designed for three to six family members (ages 5 and up) and utilizes the healing touches of lomilomi sticks.

Are in and Out privileges to Disney Aulani Resort Spa?

No, re-entry is not allowed so make sure to bring everything you need with you and store it in the free locker you get assigned.

What If I need to cancel my spa appointment?

If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the spa at least 6 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full-service fee. Please inquire regarding large parties, spa packages or group cancellations

Will they validate my parking if I’m not staying at Disney Aulani?

Four hours of complimentary parking is included when you spend $50 or more.
