Disneyland has gone through several changes over the years, from multiple Tomorrowland overhauls to replaced attractions and park expansions. It’s the premier destination in Southern California for family entertainment. It built a huge following of nostalgic older fans and young fans of the more recent movie franchises. “E-ticket ride” is still the term used for the most popular attractions, even though ride tickets haven’t been in use for 40 years. Main Street Vehicles

The kinetic motion on Main Street USA is not accidental. It may seem strange to have vehicles driving up and down a street that thousands of guests are walking on, but it’s part of the aesthetic and appeal of this turn-of-the-century town.

There are vintage cars, horse-drawn trolleys, and even a fire truck that you can ride to the Castle instead of walking the whole way. It’s one of the Disneyland attractions that doubles as legitimate transportation, which adds credence to those who claim the tram from the parking lot is the first Disneyland ride of the day.

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

Far too many people just pass this attraction by. This is a piece of American History and a piece of Disney history all in one. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln emerged when Disney was at its pinnacle, creating more daring attractions than ever before. This show was one of four projects the WED Imagineers put together for the 64-65 New York World’s Fair. It’s also an amazing tribute to our 16th American President.

Another great aspect of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is that its a cold air-conditioned respite on those hot Disneyland days!

The Storybook Land Canal Boats is a fun boat ride through intricate miniatures of homes and castles from the fairytale movies throughout the history of Disney. It’s a beautiful and scenic attraction that has to sink in a bit to impress, but it’s one of the best things at Disneyland to enjoy.

The first person to ride Storybook Land Canal Boats each day gets the opportunity to sign the ride’s guest book. This activity is becoming more and more popular so make sure to rope drop and make a beeline to the ride when the Park first opens!

Tarzan’s Treehouse

The recently renovated Tarzan’s Treehouse is a terrific walkthrough experience. It’s a lot of fun and as a centerpiece, it adds so much to the mysterious feel of Adventureland. Without the overgrown structure looming over the land’s exit, the area would not be shrouded in as much mystique as the exotic land exudes.

The base of Tarzan’s Treehouse holds a Moana meet and greet which is a fun experience for kids. Usually, there isn’t much of a line because the line is tucked away and can’t be seen from the main pathway.

Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition

Frontierland and Adventureland are like opposites in the way they are laid out. The two are expertly crafted. one is meandering and confined and the other offers seemingly no border thanks to the wilderness beyond the Rivers of America.

As guests breeze through the Frontierland entrance, they miss the Shootin’ Exposition. This classic shooting arcade is one of the most fun, but overlooked attractions in Disneyland.
