Where to Watch Disneyland Fireworks Outside the Park!
You can watch the fireworks displays in several places outside of Disneyland. Some of these locations may offer a good view of the Disneyland fireworks, depending on the location of the park and the surrounding buildings. Here are a few ideas for places to consider to watch Disneyland fireworks outside the Park!

1. Disneyland Resort Hotels
The hotels offer a view of the fireworks from certain rooms and outdoor areas. Watch from the pool area of the Pixar Place Hotel (former Paradise Pier Hotel) where they often pipe the music in.
If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian, the club-level lounges provide views of the fireworks. The Grand Californian has the Veranda which offers daily food and drinks plus seating out on the balcony.
Many concierge rooms at the resort hotels offer fireworks views with the soundtrack piped in for full effect.

2. The Fifth at the Grand Legacy
Atop The Grand Legacy Hotel, The Fifth is one of several rooftop bars and lounges where guests can enjoy mostly unobstructed views of Disneyland Fireworks. At The Fifth, you get views of Disneyland’s fireworks, complete with the music used in the show.
There are also great views of Disney California Adventure, Harbor Boulevard and other parts of Anaheim around the hotel. I recommend making a reservation 30 minutes before the fireworks, eating dinner, and then watching the fireworks during dessert!
3. Opposite the Main Entrance of Disneyland
There are several spots across the street from the main entrance where you can catch a glimpse of the fireworks. The hotels on this strip all have rooms that face Disneyland Resort! I’ve watched the fireworks from my room at The Tropicana Hotel, Howard Johnson Anaheim, and more!
Our favorite new restaurant spot is Calaca Mama’s Cantina which is now serving cocktails and cali-mex food! Their bar and patio have great views of the fireworks.
4. The upper deck of the Mickey & Friends parking structure
The upper deck of the Disneyland Mickey & Friends parking structure offers a view of the fireworks outside of the Park, but keep in mind that it can get crowded and the view may be partially obstructed. The downside is that you will have to pay if you access the garage by car and often times car alarms will go off due to the proximity to the fireworks.
5. Downtown Disney Esplanade
The space between Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park entrances is called the Esplanade. It’s adjacent to the outdoor dining and shopping area and offers a view of the fireworks. This is one of THE MOST popular areas to watch the fireworks outside the park but there’s usually plenty of space to stretch out. Make sure to bring something to sit on because the ground is brick and concrete.
It’s worth noting that the view from these locations may be partially obstructed and the sound quality may not be as good as inside the park. Additionally, some of these locations may have restricted access or may require a separate admission fee.
6. Parkestry at the JW Marriott
Parkestry is located on the rooftop of the JW Marriott Anaheim, which is situated right next to Disneyland and Downtown Disney. It provides panoramic views of the Disneyland Resort area, including glimpses of the iconic castle and fireworks at night. The restaurant is designed with a charming “secret garden” vibe, with plants, gazebos, and trellises scattered across the rooftop.
I recommend making a reservation 30 minutes before the fireworks, eating dinner, and then watching the fireworks during dessert!
